PARIS FASHION WEEK - ALEXANDER MCQUEEN SPRING 2013

THERE WAS A CERTAIN BUZZ SURROUNDING ALEXANDER MCQUEEN'S SPRING 2013 SHOW DURING PARIS FASHION WEEK.
WHY THE BUZZ?

MCQUEEN DESIGNER SARAH BURTON HAS A LOVE FOR BEES SAYING THAT THEIRS IS,
"A MATRIARCHAL SOCIETY WHERE THE FEMALES RULE"
I THINK I LIKE THIS ALREADY.

BURTON'S IMAGINATION ON THIS COLLECTION TRANSFORMS THE HONEYCOMB SHAPE INTO NETS, LACES, JACQUARDS, VERSIONS OF HONEY, GOLD AND BLACK - EVEN SOME EMBROIDERED WITH BEES.

PEPLUMS AND WASP WAISTS WITH RESIN BUSTIERS.
SLIGHTLY EROTIC FEAST OF NETTING DISGUISES MODELS FACES.
WHILE DELIGHTING IN THE PENCIL SKIRTS, LITTLE SHORTS AND TROUSERS THAT SEEM MORE LIKE ART.

FIREY GOWNS OF RED AND YELLOW LIGHT UP THE RUNWAY...PURE INSANITY!

SARAH BURTON, YOU ARE A PURE TALENT AND INNOVATOR.
I THINK ALEXANDER MCQUEEN WOULD 'BEE' VERY PROUD OF THIS COLLECTION.
